The Y series (6KV) high-voltage squirrel cage electric motor allows direct start at full pressure. If the load torque is not large, a step-down starting method can also be adopted. During step-down starting, the starting torque of the motor is roughly proportional to the square of the voltage. When the mechanical moment of inertia of the load is within a certain range, the motor is allowed to start continuously twice in a cold state, and once in a hot state.
The Y series (6KV) high voltage asynchronous electric motor has a rated frequency of 50Hz and a rated voltage of 6KV or 10KV. Its key characteristics are as follows:

- Features a box-shaped structure that is easy to transport, install, and maintain, helping to reduce users' civil construction investment costs. The ventilation and protection type can also be flexibly adjusted based on user needs.

- The motor is equipped with end-cap sliding bearings that utilize an "air seal" and floating labyrinth structure to prevent oil leakage.
- The motor uses either a cast aluminum or copper bar rotor for reliable operation.
- Ventilation and Protection: The motor uses a radial self-ventilation mode. Cooling air enters from the upper cover along the axial side, passes through the interior of the motor, and is discharged through holes on both sides of the upper cover.
- The basic protection rating of the Y series (6KV) high-voltage AC electric motor is IP23, which can be upgraded to a top windshield-derived pipe ventilation type IP44. Motors with 4-12 poles can also be configured as air-to-air coolers with closed circulation ventilation (IP44) or climate protection type (IPW24).
- The Y series (6KV) high-voltage squirrel-cage three-phase asynchronous electric motor offers a compact structure, light weight, high efficiency, energy savings, low noise, low vibration, high reliability, long service life, and convenient installation and maintenance.
- These high voltage electric motors are primarily used to drive general machinery such as fans, pumps, compressors, crushers, cutting machine tools, and transportation equipment across industries including petroleum, chemical, coal, power generation, metallurgy, transportation, textiles, and pharmaceuticals.
- The Y series (6KV) high-voltage asynchronous electric motor features a box structure with a steel plate-welded base, providing a lightweight yet rigid frame. The motor can be configured with either a top-mounted hood or side panel openings.
- The stator uses an external press-fit structure with F-class insulation material. For 10KV motors, reliable anti-corona measures are implemented. The winding ends are securely fixed and tied, and the motor undergoes Vacuum Pressure Impregnation (VPI) with solvent-free paint for high mechanical strength, strong moisture resistance, and extended service life. The squirrel cage rotor is available in cast aluminum or copper bar configurations, manufactured using advanced and reliable processes, and has passed dynamic balance checks for smooth and reliable operation.
- Bearings are available in rolling or sliding types, selected based on motor power and speed. Rolling bearings are equipped with non-stop oiling and draining devices. The main junction box is positioned on the right side of the motor (viewed from the shaft extension), but can be placed on the left side upon request. Separate grounding terminals are provided inside and outside the junction box. Temperature measuring devices can be added to critical components such as stator windings and bearings for on-site observation and remote monitoring.
