KY Temperature Sensors — Precision Motor Monitoring
KY temperature sensors are designed to accurately measure the temperature at the motor's installation point, typically monitored directly within the winding.
For modern, high-performance inverter-driven systems, the motor temperature model stored in the inverter is dynamically corrected — using a method similar to CFC (Cascade Frequency Control) — to deliver superior dynamic response and operational stability.
Fuses — Short-Circuit Protection Only
Important: Fuses are not designed to protect the motor from overload conditions. Their sole function is to provide short-circuit protection. Ensure proper overload protection devices are installed separately to safeguard your motor.
️ Comprehensive Protection Equipment
A range of protection devices is available to guard against various fault conditions. Refer to the qualification tables for detailed guidance on selecting the right protection solution for each specific tripping cause.
️ Safe Switching of Inductances — Critical Installation Notes
When switching inductive loads, please observe the following:
- Low-Speed Motor Winding Switching: If the motor cable is routed or installed improperly, switching the low-speed motor windings can generate dangerous voltage peaks.
- These voltage spikes may cause serious damage to both the motor windings and switching contacts.
- Solution: Install varistors (voltage-dependent resistors) in the incoming cable to effectively suppress voltage peaks and protect your equipment.
